It’s not that I didn’t like Sabbath with Dio. I did. But imho, Dio was the best when he was with Rainbow. And this is my favorite Rainbow song, Stargazer, with the most effing awesome vocals ever. And with a “profound” meaning.
Yeah, so I am kind of shocked because I just found out. I don’t know what to say. I am not going to start with the “Oh my god, I can’t believe it, I am going to cry” and all that. I just feel like saying that I feel awful that so many “idols”, (well, influences) of mine, musical or not, are going away. Just that. I am not going to miss him, because I am listening to his songs everyday, so I am still going to listen to this divine and so powerful voice and connect his songs to my happiest memories.
Goodbye Ronnie. Μακάρι να είναι ελαφρύ το χώμα που θα σε σκεπάζει.
Stargazer-Rainbow
“All eyes see the figure of the wizard
As he climbs to the top of the world
No sound as he falls instead of rising
Time standing still
Then there’s blood on the sand
Oh I see his face
Where was your star
Was it far, was it far
When did we leave
We believe, we believe, we believe!”
Ronnie james Dio and Ritchie Blackmore.

Dio’s powerful voices and “rawrs” are what should be remembered from this masterpiece.
